El candidato a diputado por la circunscripción 12 del Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS), Simón Sergio Choque Siñani, fue sentenciado por el Juzgado Cuarto de Partido y de Sentencia de El Alto a seis años de cárcel en 2004, por los delitos de falsificación de sellos, papel sellado, timbres, falsedad ideológica, estafa y uso de instrumento falsificado, al suplantar a un abogado sin serlo.

El proceso fue seguido desde el 2000 en contra del candidato masista y otras personas por parte del Gobierno Municipal de El Alto. El fallo emitido por dicha instancia judicial fue incorporado al Registro Judicial de Antecedentes Penales (REJAP) el 2 de junio de 2010.

«El juez Cuarto de Partido y de Sentencia en lo Penal de la ciudad de El Alto (…) falla: declarando a los procesados Simón Sergio Choque Siñani, declarado rebelde y contumaz a la ley, autor de los delitos previstos sancionados en los artículos 175 (abogacía y mandato indebidos), 19 (falsificación de sellos, papel sellado y timbres), 199 (falsedad ideológica), 203 (uso de instrumento falsificado), 335 (estafa) del Código Penal, condenándole a sufrir la pena de privación de libertas de 6 (seis) años en reclusión, la misma que deberá cumplir en la Penitenciaria Distrital de San Pedro de La Paz», señala el fallo judicial.

La denuncia fue realizada por el candidato a diputado por Unidad Demócrata (UD), Amilcar Barral, quien con documentación en mano pidió a los alteños tener cuidado con Sergio Choque, al haber sido declarado rebelde y contumaz. ANF – El Dia.
